SUPERVISED INDEPENDENT LIVING
Life Beyond Foster Care
At Aspire Alliance, we've pioneered a transformative Supervised Independent Living Program (SIL) in partnership with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Our mission is clear: to guide and champion the journey of young adults as they step out of care and into the boundless possibilities of adulthood.
Spread Your Wings
Within our SIL program, we're rewriting the script on traditional placements. For young adults aged 18 and above, we've crafted a non-traditional, liberating environment that stands apart from conventional foster care settings. Through careful collaboration and support, we offer a space where these resilient individuals can spread their wings with minimal supervision, all while continuing to receive invaluable case management services
Champion the Journey
Our SIL placement model is more than just a setting; it's a nurturing cocoon of growth. Here, young adults embark on a vital quest to hone essential independent living skills. With a safety net of support woven into their journey, they develop the self-sufficiency needed to embrace life beyond foster care. Our program serves as a bridge between adolescence and adulthood, offering a dynamic space for practice, growth, and transformation.
Shaping Futures
Aspire Alliance's SIL Program isn't merely a transition; it's a voyage towards empowerment. Together, we're shaping futures, fostering resilience, and creating a solid foundation from which young adults can embark on their unique paths with confidence and purpose.
HOW IT WORKS
Former foster care youth and homeless community youth (18-21 years) live independently in a home with roommates. They receive professional case management, weekly counseling, job and life skills, educational assistance, and resource referrals, to help them meet their goals and leave the program ready to become productive members of our community. These vulnerable young adults are given a safe place to live and are taught how to care for themselves so that they can become productive, empowered members of our community.
